2. Scope

This policy explains how we process personal data when you use the Kite Prompter web application, mobile applications, and related services (the "App"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your data, especially the text and scripts you upload.

3. What we collect

• Account & identifiers: Email address, basic profile information provided by third-party authentication services (Apple, Google), and internal user IDs.
• User Content (Scripts & Settings): Teleprompter scripts you create, source text, playback annotations (pause markers, speed modifiers), and application settings (colors, fonts, layout preferences).
• Service & Usage data: Trial usage events (playback time consumed) to manage free tier limitations.
• Payments: For web purchases, Paddle acts as merchant of record and payment processor. We may receive billing identifiers, customer IDs, subscription status, plan information, transaction IDs, and limited billing metadata needed to provide access and support. We do not collect or store full payment card numbers.

4. No AI Training & Complete Data Privacy

Your content is strictly your own. We understand that teleprompter scripts may contain confidential, unreleased, or proprietary information.

• We DO NOT use your scripts, text, or any User Content to train artificial intelligence (AI) models, machine learning algorithms, or any other data-processing networks.
• We DO NOT sell, rent, or share your scripts with any third parties for marketing or analytical purposes.

5. Purposes & legal bases

• Provide the Service (perform contract): Account authentication, syncing your scripts, scroll positions, and settings across your devices.
• Manage Access (perform contract): Calculating trial playback time and validating premium subscription statuses.
• Security (legitimate interests): Fraud prevention and securing your active sessions.

6. Sharing and Third-Party Services

We use trusted infrastructure providers to operate the App. We share only the minimum data required for these services to function:

• Supabase: Used for secure database storage of your scripts and authentication (OAuth).
• Paddle: Will be used as merchant of record and payment processor for web subscriptions once web billing is live.
• Apple & Google: Used for authentication (Sign in with Apple/Google). App Store and Google Play billing are planned for later native purchases and are not active in the current web billing setup.
• RevenueCat: May be used later to manage native App Store or Google Play subscriptions if native billing is introduced. It is not part of the current web billing setup.

7. Account and Data Deletion

You have full control over your data. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time directly within the App (navigate to Settings > Account > Delete Account). Upon executing this action, all your personal information, scripts, and settings are permanently erased from our active databases.

8. Children

The App is not directed to individuals under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions such as the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal data from such users. If we become aware that we have collected such data, we will delete it immediately.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced within the App or on our website with a new effective date.
